Starting Hispanic Businesses in America
They are called “LOBs”, Latino Owned Businesses. LOBs are multiplying faster than any other portion of the new business population and represent an increasing percentage of the total U.S. market every year. If conditions permit economic growth, LOBs will become a major driver of wealth creation and serve as an important component of the U.S. economy. Not only would such an economic achievement benefit the Hispanic community, it also would assist funding social services and infrastructure that ultimately benefit all Americans.
Hispanic entrepreneurs must overcome particular challenges to create a start-up company. Nonetheless, an increasing number of Hispanic entrepreneurs have achieved great success in the business world. Their accomplishments, however, frequently are not recognized, even by members of the Hispanic community. To help fill this void, brief biographies are presented of prominent Latina and Latino entrepreneurs whose businesses have succeeded in many different commercial fields.
